Impact Areas

Your entire donation to the United Way Community Campaign makes a difference. 100 percent of every dollar raised stays in Fort Dodge and Webster County. Last year, 44 partner agencies received funding in the following impact areas:

Helping Underprivileged Youth

Every child deserves to have a chance for a healthy and happy life and to grow up with a true sense of hope. By fulfilling urgent and basic human needs for food, clothing, housing, safety, medical and mental health care and emergencies, we can offer disadvantaged youth a chance for a better life and a brighter future.

Helping Youth Succeed

We will support efforts to help all youth develop strong character values and growth emotionally, intellectually and physically in order to successfully achieve in school and have the opportunity to become responsible adults and productive citizens, parents and employees.

Supporting Family Stability and Self-Sufficiency

The family is the nucleus of society and of every community. Strong, healthy and stable families are essential in contributing to the fundamental stability of our community’s culture and economy. By supporting financial stability, education, and vocational training, we can improve self- sufficiency and employability, and offer families a chance to live independently with dignity.

Supporting Our Seniors

Our senior citizens, especially the frail elderly, need and deserve our support. They helped build our nation and our community. We need to be there for them in their time of need. Through our Meals on Wheels and Senior Assistance programs, we are helping our frail elderly and low income seniors when they need it the most.

“When we reach out a hand to one, we influence the condition of all. When we build the strength of our neighbors, our youth and our families, we bolster the health and vitality of our community.”
